Director of Maintenance

Gaffney Housing Authority is hiring a Director of Maintenance.

Supervisor: Executive Director
Status: Exempt

This position is responsible for overseeing installation, inspections, repairs, troubleshooting and daily maintenance of Gaffney Housing Authority, including all asset management properties, the main office, auxiliary buildings, equipment, services, security and other needs required to facilitate a safe, healthy environment. Manages the Capital Fund Grant including HUD reporting, budget preparation and projects. Monitors vendor contracts and all work that is completed. Incumbent also oversees the work of all maintenance employees.

All activities must support Gaffney Housing Authority mission, strategic goals, and objectives.

Minimum Education and/or Experience

1. High school diploma or General Educational Diploma (GED), or trade or vocational school certification; with a minimum of six (6) years of experience in the administration of maintenance projects, preferably in public housing or local government. and a minimum of three (3) years of experience in housing construction and development with a minimum of two (2) years of experience in a management capacity. Experience in budget planning and administration.
