Maintenance
All routine work orders should be called in during the regular business day - at 864.489.3193 (Monday - Thursday 7:00am - 5:00pm)
Emergency Work Orders - All Gaffney Housing Authority residents should call the regular central office number at 864.489.3193 for emergency maintenance needed after regular business hours.
Only emergency maintenance will be done after hours.
Depending on your emergency, we will respond within 24 hours. Some emergencies may require more time to assess and repair.
Residents will be charged a $50 nuisance fee if the emergency number is dialed and the situation does not fall under the emergency items listed below.
Emergency Issues:
- Apartment front or rear entry doors not shutting and/or locking, this is an emergency issue.
- Water heater or refrigerator not working Saturday or Sunday.
- Commode: Stopped up/not flushing correctly: If you only have one commode, this is considered an emergency issue.
- No heat in your apartment is an emergency issue if the outside temperature is below 55 degrees. Do Not use stove/range as a heat source.
- Issues that are life-threatening or hazardous to health or causing major damage to inside or outside of the apartment.
- Electric shorts in outlets (smoking, sparks, etc.)
- Waterline broken and/or line cannot be shut off.
If you have locked yourself out of your apartment or lost your keys - This is not considered an emergency.
